About Betty Glaz

I spent four years of my childhood on an Indiana farm. My dad had two huge Percheron draft horses to work the land. He eventually had enough money to buy a Farmall tractor. My mother had a garden that covered an entire acre. That is where I learned the meaning of hard work and to enjoy “digging in the dirt.” All my ancestors were farmers who loved the land.

I’m not a farmer but I am a Master Gardener who loves to plant shrubs and flowers. I understand your business and I am one of your clients.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1993 with a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I am a published poet and essayist and am currently working on two books, a novel and a memoir. You can readily see that I have a love of writing.

I have years of writing as a public information specialist and director of development and public relations. I’ve learned the copywriting craft from American Writers and Artists (AWAI). This intensive training has deepened and sharpened my copywriting and marketing expertise. I am also a member of the Professional Writers’ Alliance and the Barefoot Writer Club.

My hobbies are writing, reading, and gardening, of course.
